Individual Reflections for Literature Mid-Year Project 2008Sec 2 ExpressEco-friendly features about my group’s 3D-model- Materials purchased are biodegradable such as ice crema sticks, satay sticks, which are eco-friendly.- Materials brought from home are reusable such as magazines, which are used to make the paper balls, reused wood for the base of the playground model and recycled paper for the different parts of the playground model.- Materials from the playground model can be used for other things besides making this playground model.Playground designs/concepts that are linked to the novel - The bridge at the entrance of the playground model, are connected to the title of the novel "Bridge to Terabithia" .- The "playhouse" at the center part of the playground are like the ones Jess and Leslie had created in their imgainary world, Terabithia.- Many parts of the playground model are made of wood, like the feeling of stepping into the woods, filled with tall trees.Playground designs/concepts that meet the special needs of the children - In the playground model, we tried not using dull colours so as to lift up their spirits and enjoy playing in the playground instead of thinking that they have illnesses.- In the playground model, we also put cotton in some areas so as to prevent children who are playing from hurting themselves as they have illnesses.Labels: Eleanor Hor (Individual Reflections)
